KENYA GUAMA AA WASHED
[NEW CROP]

The Guama Factory is located in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, a region that has been producing excellent coffee for many years. Since its establishment in 1974, named after the area, it has produced high-quality Kenyan coffee with great ambition. The Baragwi Cooperative, which operates it, was founded in 1953 and is one of Kenya's largest cooperatives, owning 12 factories.
A clean river, essential for washed processing, flows near the Guama Factory, making it the largest factory in the Baragwi Cooperative, producing approximately 750 tons of coffee annually.

Harvested cherries are hand-sorted before pulping. After depulping using a disc pulper, they undergo 16 hours of fermentation to remove mucilage. The washed parchment is then soaked for up to 16 hours. The subsequent drying process takes 8 to 14 days, with covers used during the day and night to prevent damage.

Guama's coffee clearly exhibits the Kenyan terroir, which is becoming increasingly rare. For those seeking authentic Kenyan coffee, this is highly recommended.
