The Specialty Coffee delivered from all over the world, crossing oceans, is infused with a variety of histories, stories, and the words of many people.
When you experience it, what do you feel, and what "words" come to your mind?
Little happiness.
In the brief moments of a busy daily life, enjoying coffee quietly alone or with someone else. This means that small joys exist within our everyday lives.
Creating such space and time, even if only a little, may be the most essential thing for enriching one's life.
A small catalyst and the scenery reflected in your eyes.
Having encountered and become fascinated by Specialty Coffee, I found myself, after a very long time, becoming a purveyor of coffee.
That small encounter with a single cup of coffee, and the "leaves of words" (kotonoha) contained within it, became one of the catalysts that changed everything in the scenery reflected in my eyes.
And like leaves dancing in the wind, it will be carried further away, eventually becoming a "small catalyst" for someone else, and continue to be woven.
Beyond words.
Thoughts and emotions that cannot be conveyed by words alone are expressed in various ways in our daily lives.
Conveying these things amidst each of our different sceneries may be a very difficult task.
This universal, seemingly vague and abstract "something" sometimes transcends words and touches the depths of the heart. Isn't it through a series of such certain moments that the scenery flows by?
As a point of contact to touch that "something" that should reside deep within each of our hearts, from this stage of expression called THE WORD COFFEE, we continue to weave "leaves of words" that melt into the inside, alongside coffee, through poetry, imagery, music, and various other forms.

By stripping away the unnecessary and refining, things become simple by necessity.
At THE WORD COFFEE, we believe the same can be said for everything related to coffee—extraction, roasting, and beyond. We make every process related to coffee as simple as possible.
Coffee is not difficult.
For example, there are many different recipes for coffee extraction, and it is likely that many people find most of them complex.
If an extraction recipe is as simple as possible, it might become a catalyst for those who have shied away from coffee, thinking it "difficult or troublesome," to begin the wonderful experience of brewing coffee themselves.
The coffee you find most delicious can only be brewed by you.
The flavor one seeks in coffee is different for everyone. Only you, who know your own tastes, can brew the coffee that you love. Enjoying what you can truly call the best coffee for you is both the ideal we pursue and our goal.
The extraction recipes we propose are designed to be completed by you making slight adjustments to achieve the flavor you prefer.
Based on this philosophy, THE WORD COFFEE pursues extremely simple extraction recipes with fewer variables, updating and publishing them daily.
Giving form to our thoughts.
We face coffee every day, hoping that the "words ≒ coffee" that THE WORD COFFEE weaves will have even a small positive influence on everyone involved and on your life, and to realize and give form to that.
